The mandatory tractor scrapping regulations are designed to ensure the safety, environmental protection, and proper use of agricultural machinery.
1. Scrapping Age Standards: Generally speaking, small steering wheel tractors are scrapped after 10 years, walk-behind tractors after 12 years, and large and medium-sized tractors after 15 years. Tractors that reach these age limits will be compulsorily scrapped.
2. Safety and Environmental Considerations: Tractors that are severely damaged and cannot be repaired to safe operating standards, or whose exhaust emissions and other environmental indicators significantly exceed standards and fail to meet requirements after testing, will also be compulsorily scrapped. This is to ensure road traffic safety and reduce environmental pollution.
3. Scrapping Process: The owner must sell the tractor that has reached scrapping standards to a qualified scrap recycling company. The recycling company will dismantle and destroy the tractor according to regulations and issue a recycling certificate to the owner. The owner will then go to the agricultural machinery management department with the recycling certificate and other relevant documents to complete the deregistration procedures.
