During the slack season, tractors sit idle. Due to limited space, they are often parked outside the yard walls, leading to frequent nighttime thefts. Here are a few simple theft prevention methods for tractors:
1. Turn off the fuel tank valve. Immediately after parking and turning off the engine, turn off the fuel tank valve to stop the fuel supply to the fuel line, preventing the vehicle from starting.
2. Block the fuel tank cap. Unscrew the fuel tank cap from the vent hole, cover the tank opening with a piece of plastic of appropriate thickness, and then tighten the cap to disable the vent hole inside the cap. Even if a thief manages to start the vehicle, the vehicle will not be able to travel far before the negative pressure in the tank stops the fuel supply and the vehicle automatically stalls.
3. Seal the air filter. Wrap a layer of plastic around the air filter head to seal the intake pipe, preventing the vehicle from starting.
4. Install an anti-theft alarm. Many car and motorcycle anti-theft alarms currently available are also suitable for tractors. As long as the sound reaches the set volume, it will automatically sound to alert the driver.

5. After parking with one drive wheel off the ground, use a hydraulic jack to prop up the rear axle. Place a wooden block under the rear axle to lift one drive wheel off the ground, then remove the jack. Do not move the vehicle easily at night without reliable equipment to remove the wooden block.
6. Concealed brake installation. Weld a small ring to the brake trailing rod and secure another small iron ring to a location on the transmission or frame. After parking, apply the brake pedal and connect the two iron rings with a thin round steel bar with hooks at each end to keep the vehicle braked.
7. Lock the gear lever. Weld a small iron ring approximately 10 cm below the gear lever handle. Thread a small chain through the ring to connect the gear lever to the frame. Engage reverse gear and lock it securely, ensuring the gear lever is positioned properly and prevents shifting.
